(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Lightly nutty nose.. Medium-bodied, sweetish malty with basically no bitterness. Comes through pretty much like a macro Brown Ale. A bit sad. 070606

Bottle 500ml Amersham Tesco 02-05-06. A dark malty ale that couldn’t shake off the alcohol taint, it was present in both the aroma and taste and really spoilt this beer, I couldn’t even finish it as didn’t agree with me at all (without going into further detail) Very dissapointed with this. Maybe I had a bad one, I don’t know but I will not be rushing to get another one in a hurry.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Ruby red colour with thin beige head. Malty nose with red and dark fruits. Some balancing hop. Dead malt feel in mouth though. Finish has candy sugar, some fruit sweetness and touch of dryness. Nose is fine, but the rest was not that good

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Dark orange with thin beige head. Bit of orange peel and bit of caramel, some hop, bit farty really. Dull in mouth and some boiled sweet.

Bottle Sainsburys. Reddish brown colour, thin lasting beige head, sweetish toffee malt but some hop. A bit heavy in mouth, bit over carbonated, fairly undemanding finish

Bottle. Reddish brown. some malt aroma but nice in the mouth some earthy hop. Nice malts and then goodish hop finish good balance. Well made could do with a touch more taste.
