From a 500ml can on 25/8/2019 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a dark brown with a small head. The rose is primarily chocolate and fudge, with hints of dark fruit and red wine. Tastes of moderately sweet, with a fair bit of milk chocolate, and a distinct dash of strawberry at the back. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Decent enough but unlikely to revisit.

On tap at Taps Beer Bar, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops upfront, with biscuity malt and a hint of kiwi. Flavour is very piney, with lots of fresh piney hops, kiwi, and biscuity malt. Piney and fresh. This is great.

From a 500ml can on 11/8/2019 (shared with Butz). Has a sharp fruity aroma with some caramel malt in the background. Flavour wise, it's plain odd - sharp fruitiness, chemical bitterness, herbal and boozy, but the barrel aged element is not that obvious. Not particularly malty, which is strange for a barley wine. The texture is slightly syrupy, the carbonation moderate. Rough, boozy, unpleasant and lacking any cohesion.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear light straw colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, grassy, light lemon / lime citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a light, slightly watery, light citrus fruit, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. A little too watery and light all round for me. Need to up the malt bill.
