Description
At Black Hole Brewery we mix the traditional with the innovative. Traditional brewing techniques, with flavour old and new. We aim for innovative and sustainable methods - from our sourcing of materials at the start of the brewing process to our investment in electric vehicles to deliver the beers.

Black Hole Brewery are proud to be part of the tradition of brewing in our region. Born in Burton and (Dis)Organised from Derby, The Black Hole Brewery has gone through some big changes from our origins - with more evolutions - and revolutions - to come. We take our brewing, and our beers - but not ourselves - seriously. If you like the beer names but think some are a bit have daft? Good. If you have a chuckle at the clips? Great. You enjoy the Beer? That's the important bit!

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 21 May 2010) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit and red berries. Malty, fruity taste with red berries, dried fruit, toffee and a mild, spicy bitterness. Medium body, with some sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, but hardly exciting.

Cask, handpump at The Green Man and Blacks Head Hotel, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, 21-05-10 Pours red/amber with a white creamy textured head. The taste is malty and bitter, bit fruity little bit drying at end. Its fine but perhaps a tiny bit past its best. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 7/05/10. Amber coloured with a slight white head. Fruity aroma with a hint of spice and sulphur. Flavour of sweetish malts, berry fruit, more sulphur, with a decent bitter finish. Good.

Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks I took the tasting notes for this from the Peterborough Beer Festival website as there was nothing about this on the Black Hole brewery website that I could see. First things first the beer that I had poured a very pale gold in fact I would suggest it was more straw like in colour with a white head. Aroma was citrussy and fruity. Taste really quite bitter, good length, crisp and dry but hops are very much to the fore and I was surprised atthe bitterness of this, Its a decent beer and aside from the light brown description every things else in the commercial write-up is spot on. Some honey and whilst pleasant the hops seemed a little subdued and not quite the beer I had hoped for. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov12 3.2
