Description
Oakshire is a is a community inspired small batch brewing company privately owned by the family and friends of our company’s founders. Oakshire operates a small, 4,000 square-foot production brewery in Northwest Eugene, as well as the Oakshire Public House in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood and the Oakshire Beer Hall in the Concordia/Cully neighborhood in Northeast Portland.

Eugene was chosen as Oakshire’s location in part due to the accessibility of clean, soft water from the McKenzie River. Since 2013, Oakshire Brewing has partnered with our local land conservation group, the McKenzie River Trust. One percent of Watershed IPA sales revenue is set aside for the protection of local watersheds in the territories where the beer is sold, helping to preserve the clean water that is so vital to our community and our beer.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is fairly subdued, with toasted malt and gentle earthy hops. Flavour has a nice balance between roasted malt and earthy hops, with soft espresso underneath. Nicely balanced and constructed.

Dark brown, just a thin head. Great aroma, smokey, marmite, beef stock, good black pepper, this is an umami bomb. On the palate, soft, rich, umami galore, superb… medium bitterness, beautiful sugars, depth for days.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Light gush on opening. Hazed auburn red with dissipating off-white head. Tannic pinot grape skins, lots of carbonated mouthfeel, mild tartness and juiciness underneath. Quite nice.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark red with a large white head. Aroma bursts with must red wine grapes, tannins, tons of wild yeast, and barnyard notes. Flavour is likewise dominated by musty red wine grape skins, lots of tannins, an aggressive expression of wild yeast, and a champagne-like effervescence. Aggressive carbonation that's very fitting. Real nice.

750mL bottle. Pours slightly murky pale brown with moderate off-white head. Aroma has lightly roasted malt and a dry, woody character, spicy wild yeast. Flavour is earthy, lots of rustic wild yeast, dried fruit. Solid carbonation. Very nice, malty wild ale.
