Description
Oakshire is a is a community inspired small batch brewing company privately owned by the family and friends of our company’s founders. Oakshire operates a small, 4,000 square-foot production brewery in Northwest Eugene, as well as the Oakshire Public House in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood and the Oakshire Beer Hall in the Concordia/Cully neighborhood in Northeast Portland.

Eugene was chosen as Oakshire’s location in part due to the accessibility of clean, soft water from the McKenzie River. Since 2013, Oakshire Brewing has partnered with our local land conservation group, the McKenzie River Trust. One percent of Watershed IPA sales revenue is set aside for the protection of local watersheds in the territories where the beer is sold, helping to preserve the clean water that is so vital to our community and our beer.

On tap at Oakshire PDX, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has an interesting combo of gentle citrus and subdued chili pepper. Flavour actually reveals a cohesive mixture of scotch bonnet pepper and oranges. There's some residual sweetness to make it a bit juicy. Very subtle but that's nice harmony. Surprisingly interesting, very drinkable.

On tap at Oakshire PDX, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out smooth dry cocoay notes and bready malt. Flavour is smooth and dry, with gentle dry cocoa and dusty toasted malt. Pretty low on the hops. Very smooth, easy to drink. Not terribly exciting but competently made.

On tap at Oakshire PDX, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has that dry grassy hop character, straw and biscuity malt. Flavour has dry, floral and grassy hops upfront, with a dry biscuity malt. Grassy, floral and dry finish. Pretty solid, reminiscent of Tipo.

On tap at Oakshire PDX, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out oily resinous hops, some pine, and crisp biscuity malt to back. Flavour has lots of woody pinecone-like hops, light oily resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Lots of pinecones, finishing only lightly bitter. Very good.

16oz (Matt's can) @ Sales Force. Vintage 2024. Appearance: very dark brown with Aroma: green peppers at first, some coffee, boozy, toasted barrel. Taste: oily, a lot of toasted barrel, sweet, coffee. Luckily, coudn't even detect the maple syrup. Overall: nice one.

2024. Dark brown. This has a lot of coffee, big bourbon, dark malts. The palate has a bit of nuttiness, largely the coffee, and some sweetness. I like the way this flows - it's lighter than you'd expect, but with lots of sweetness, touch of maple in the finish, some alcohol, the coffee isn't bad, this comes together well.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 04/24/24 - 2024 variant). Very dark brown with no head. Coffee forward with roast and chocolate malt, maple character is super feint and simply serves to round everything out.
