Description
Since opening in 2007 Leeds Brewery have developed a range of outstandingly flavourful and incredibly drinkable beers. We believe that our selection of products offers something for all tastes, and at the heart of everything we do our core philosophy is to create consistent and high quality pints that deliver for publicans and drinkers time after time.

In 2022 the Leeds Brewery entered administration, all brands sold to Kirkstall Brewery and production moved there.

Cask. Coppery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, nuts, some citrusy notes as well as mild wooden and resiny notes. Flavour is fruits, mild nuttyness, some toffee and wooden notes. Quite nicely dry palate as well. A nice darker bitter.

RBESG August 2011, Drafthouse, London Bridge. Golden with a lasting white head. Grainy malt aroma with floral and grassy hops. Grainy and grassy flavour with a touch of diacetyl

Cask (handpump) @ Draft House, 206-208 Tower Bridge Road, London, Greater London, England, SE1 2UP.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, butter, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, light acrid butter bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110807]

Cask at the Grape and Grain Autumn beer festival 2011, Crystal Palace. Pours dark brown with a red tint, beige head. Treacle toffee and caramel nose. Vanilla, licorice, toffee and caramel flavours. Malt heavy finish.

Draft House. RBESG pre tasting. Light haze on this pale gold beer. Small white head. Light smooth palate, semi dry. Lots of lager pilsner pale malt. A tiny bit of citrus hop. Semi dry finish with malt turning a little nutty. Inoffensive but meh!

Cask at Elephant and Castle, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Pleasant aroma of biscuity malts, crackers, and a bit of grass. Nice flavor, decent balance, medium sweet, subtle dough and toast, grass, flowers. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sticky hop finish, some crispy malts, and a surprisingly long, dandelion and grass bitterness. Decent beer.

Tap @ Draft House, Tower Bridge - London. RBESG 2011. Pours cloudy yellow with a small creamy white head. Hay, grain and a bit of butter. Sweet with a bitter and dry end.

Cask at Brigantes, York. Hazy pale golden. Fruity and minerally. Sweet but with drier, somewhat chalky finish. Light-medium bodied with resiny bitter finish.

(Cask at Old Mitre, Hatton Garden, London, 18 July 2011) Golden colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, apricots and biscuity malt. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, biscuity malt and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Decent.
