Cask at Merton Summer Beer and Cider Festival 2009 18-07-09 Pours lemony to golden in colour its a great looker to be fair. Some light maltiness on nose. Tangy and fruity in the mouth, the finish is dry and at times I was quite literally bowled over if you’ll pardon the cricketing connection by the thrusting bitterness that shone through. Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 09-01-08. Pours mid amber with a white head. Good hoppy nose, tasty with a good fruity tang. There is a lovely raspy bitterness that you only seem to get with a British bitter. Really nice beer, I’m surprised at the lowish ratings. A7 A4 F7 P3 OV15 3.6
