Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.

We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.

Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery. Golden orange and clear with a ring of white head. Light notes of pine, orange peel, brown sugar. Lovely bitter hoppy taste with just enough sweetness to give it balance. Bitter finish with serious hop oil on the aftertaste. Oily body, medium carbonation. A classic West Coast IPA.

330ml can bought from the brewery as part of a delivery and drunk at home. Dark gold, pretty hazy with a small ring of white head. Hay in the nose, dried grass, lime zest. Sweet taste with some bright citrus hop with some buttery and grainy notes. Medium carbonation on a light body. It's certainly refreshing but it's fairly humdrum.

Bitter taste with more light pine, some kumquat peel. Abrupt medicinal finish. Watery body, heavy carbonation. A bit dull but drinkable.

330ml can as part of a delivery, drunk at home. Dark gold and cloudy with a full white head. Light white grapefruit aroma, some herbal notes and some mint, a little bit of soap, bittersweet and refreshing taste with lots of white grapefruit pith. Intense bitter left on the back of the tongue. Decent little beer but not particularly special.

Can from Qwerty Beer Box. Aroma has basement malts, a hint of citrus and sugar water. Light gold. Frothy foamy white head. An initial burst squirt of lemon juice, with underlying metallic notes. Sour with a bitter edge. Doughy hints. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long quite dry and somewhat astringent finish. Sat outside listening to some people down the road have a massive argument it's fine.
