Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.

We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.

Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

Cask at Pint Shop, Cambridge on 11th June 2014. Amber with thin off-white head and initial lacing. Richly hoppy aroma with intense grassiness. Grassy hoppiness in-mouth with berry fruits. Sweet berries and grassy bitterness in finish, with the bitterness outlasting other flavours. Zingy mouthfeel ad plenty of body.

Dean Swift. Keg. Barman gives me a pint when I wanted half! Hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and crispy. Very light pale malt, touch of sweetness. Hops are a good mix of light skunk, lime and passion fruit. Light finish. Enjoyed this right to the last mouthful. Glad I was given a pint!

Cask gravity at Beer Rebellion. It pours hazy golden amber with a medium white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, marmalade, Irn Bru, orange chewits and toast. The taste is earthy, wood, grapefruit, orange peel, Irn bru and a good deal of bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Very nice orange citrus character. Good stuff from this new brewery.

Cask @ Friends of Ham, Leeds. Amber with a thick head and served in a tulip glass. It’s a strong ale but the fruit flavours are not compromised.
