Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.
We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.
Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

Cask at the Craven Arms; light clear amber pour with a creamy white head, tangerine aroma, taste has light grapefruit and tangerine, crisp citrus and malty backbone.

Keg at the Barton Arms; hazy amber pour with a thin white head, light malty aroma, taste has biscuit malts light lemon, a hint of bitterness.

330ml bottle, brewer tasting session @ Birmingham Beer Bash july 14. Pours hazy orange with thin white head. Good floral nose, a bold DIPA taste with solid orange marmalade fruitiness, bitter pith and more floral notes. Very nice.

330ml bottle, brewer tasting session @ Birmingham Beer Bash July 14. Pours hazy yellow, white head. Strong banana aroma continuing into the taste, some spicy notes, minimal cloves but good depth of flavour.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 20/7/2014. Deep gold in colour, with a slight haze and frothy, off-white head. Grapefruit, pineapple, some slightly earthy malts and a decent, dryish finish. Good.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of grapefruit and floral hops. Taste is quite sweet, caramel, light bitter citrus. Finishes quite sweet too. Light body, OK.
