Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.
We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.
Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

Can from RHS Wisley Shop as Thoughtful Forager Cloudy Tropical Ale. Aroma has herbal hoppy notes along side malty bread and a touch of caramel. Marred by hints of vinegar. It's not cloudy really. Somewhat opaque amber. Foamy pitted white head. Medium bitter. Chewy resin. Quite a tart 8nda off citrus edge. But also woody - could imagine I'm licking my shed. Underlying bread malts. Light bodied. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Not a great beer. Aiming for West Coast but not some much resinous as just blunt bitterness over a twiggy malts and odd sour elements.

Keg draught at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark brownish gold and clear with a smattering of white head and a bit of lacing. I'm getting piney resinous notes in the aroma, with some tea tannins, caramel, orange peel and papaya. Sweet taste with light character of marmalade, and a bitterness at the end of the sip. Light body with medium carbonation. My first beer from this outfit and it's very impressive indeed.
