Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.

We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.

Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery. Dark brown and a little bit translucent with a short-lived khaki head. Instant coffee, some chocolate, papery notes, a tiny bit of soy in the aroma. Sweet taste, followed by some coffee-ish bitterness in the medicinal finish. Medium to heavy carbonation. It's not bad.

400ml can from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Pinkish gold and mostly clear with a pink/white head. Sweet berry notes, some caramel in the aroma. So it doesn’t smell like a sour, and it doesn’t taste like a sour either. Sweet with notes of tart fruit which linger, but I’d say all in all this is a pretty sweet beer with raspberry syrup and white sugar in the aftertaste. A bit cheap it doesn’t matter that much, and to be honest it was just what I was interested in tonight.
