Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.

We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.

Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

Cask at Egham Easter 24. - Aroma is low key malts and something jammy. Clear amber. Thin frothy white head had a bald patch. Light-medium bodied. Tart citrus streak. Hints of caramel. Malts. Thin. Light. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Drinkable if bland.

(Can) Pours golden brown with small white head. Nice spicy aroma. Medium body, slightly sticky with plenty of good soft carbonation. Pleasant sweet malt with plenty of nice spices and a decent bitter finish. Very nice.

24/8/2023. Cask at the 31st East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear dark amber bronze with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Good looking beer. Aroma is malty, toffee, berries, biscuit, dried fruit, touch earthy. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, light fruity tartness. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Cask pint @ Cromwell's Tap House, catching up with my Mum. Hazed brown body, off-white head. Gentle malt aroma, continuing to taste. Not a lot going on here, smooth subdued malt but lacks bite, hop, bitterness. Quite lacklustre and Wetherspoons-y.

Can online from Beers of Europe. Pours unclear amber ruby with a beige cap. Aroma: sherry barrel, booze, caramel, toffee, berries. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, sherry barrel and booziness dominates, fruity, berries, caramel. Medium body with soft carbonation. Lacks balanced and overly boozy for me.

44cl blik, 5% ABV. Troebel goudoranje kleur, witte kraag.
