Can from trade with ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Lightly hazy gold with nice sparkle, thin head fading quickly to a ring with trace lacing. Aroma is Pilsner malt, bready cracker. Taste is strong Pilsner malt. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Very strong flavor and well constructed Pilsner, if that's your thing.

16 oz can received in a trade with ClarkVV, thanks buddy! Aroma is very mild cracker and weak minerals. Flavor follows with the addition of a sweetness from the bread like malt. Soft spicy hop finish. Balanced.

Canned 8/26/24, purchased from the brewery on 11/14/24, yikes! Beer really isn't sellin' like it used to! Drunk 11/21/24. Turbid, bronze-concrete. Massive, orange-tinted head. Strong retention. Citra up front adding telltale orange, red grapefruit and mango, augmented by the fruit salad of the Motueka. Maybe a bit of wood, pine, spice, but minimal, from the other hops. Clean, no twang. Well-structured, biscuit and white bread malts gently support. Soft and juicy with a bit of funk and old hop cheesiness. Rich malts are pretty well-attenuated, though super round and succulent. Mango, pine, various Amarillo woody spice and a bit of mineral and bright spice from Motueka. This is really well-done and delicious in spite of being a staggering almost 3 months old! But these top tier IPAs really do last as long as they're kept very cold.

Canned 10/17/24, drunk 11/16/24. Clear, pale brass-blonde. Small, foamy, white head. Beautifully-aromatic, soft, feathery herbs in the nose complement the seemingly heirloom yeast. Honey and cracker from the malt in full support. Great mineral, cellar, crisp notes on the end. More of the fresh, raw (in a good way) herbal hop notes with a beautiful yeast expression supported by a medium-light maltiness and high attenuation. Cracker, biscuit, light honey. Lingering acidity, heavy mineral, more intense, fresh herb and strong yeast. God, I love this brewery....

Brewery draught, 11/14/24. Lightly hazy, blonde-golden. Small, white head. Wood, lemongrass, woody incense. Smells woody... Soft, lightly sweet, malty, a bit lemongrassy and oniony. I can deal with the hop character, but why is this so sweet and intensely malty?? Too low bitterness. Clean and juicy but too malty.

Brewery draught, 11/14/24. Lightly hazy, light blonde-flax. Small, white head, quickly to ring. Sweet mango and papaya, juicy orange and low bitterness with sweet melon and light white bread. Round and easygoing. Soft, spicy, good attenuation. Lots of lemon. Kind of spicier than expected. Soft, juicy, a bit oniony and with lots of lemongrass. Very malty, great dryness. Weirdly feels like mosaic.

Brewery side pour, 11/14/24. Clear blonde-golden. Creamy, white head, slowly to cover. Rich bamberg smoke and honey-drenched malts. Clean with big mineral and crisp yeast. Crisp, yet malty and rich with moderate smoke and incredible attenuation and depth. Is this as good as Schlenkerla Helles??? It might be...a bit richer, maltier, sweeter but right there...

They have chosen to print the word FAMILY on the bottom of the can, rather than the date....pretty incredible. Drunk 9/17/24. Thickly hazy, deep cantaloupe-bronze-maize. Creamy, off-white head slowly to cover. Nose is peachy, with a bit of punchy pineapple, wood, strong spice and maybe a hint of light alcohol. The yeast signature is extremely round and fruity, playful. Ample malts soak up most of the acidity, showing big white bread, biscuit and light cake. Rich, rich malts are still pretty appropriately attenuated. White bread, sourdough, honey, biscuit...it's all there. Big melon notes from the hops, tons of fruity yeast esters, light wood and spice but no aggressive/twangy notes in the flavor, thankfully. Appropriate bitterness, balanced, juicy at points and drying out nicely on the finish.

Can, fresh from brewery, drunk 9/8/24. Poured as hard as I could, got about half a centimeter of lightly creamy, white head. Clear, ruby-tinged, bronze-maize body. Big yeast notes, clean, fruity, lightly earthy, cellar-like, lots of mineral. Nice. Some dusty, grassy, gently herbal hops keep it balanced. Bread and hints of toffee linger. Tons more fruitiness. Soft, watery per the nitro blend. Good bitterness from herbal, grassy hopping. Not too much specialty malt. Just light toast and hints of baked brown bread. Cracker and biscuit from base malt with good attenuation. Fruity yeast. Clean but with interesting mineral, cellar, plaster elements. Don't love the choice of nitro, but I get it. I suppose, in a way, the lower, looser carbonation is redolent of a cask beer.

Undated can fresh from the brewery, drunk 9/8/24. Moderately cloudy, tangerine-tinged brass-golden. Big, fluffy, white head, well-retained. Dry, woody, lemongrassy hops in the nose with tons of cracker malt. Clean, lightly fruity yeast. Smells like it could be a bit lacking in maltiness? Very, very cracker-heavy and dry. Lots of lemon and mild mango lingering. But no, for 6%, this is amply malty. Lots of cracker and white bread with heavy lemon, lemongrass and that piney, woodiness of Simcoe. Low bitterness. Tastes like a Hill Farmstead creation. Nice balance, understated, good fruitiness and mineral. Clean.
