Description
Since the brewery was founded, the Gemünder brewery has been brewing excellent beer specialties, such as the Eilfeler Landbier, the Ur-Gemünder Obergärig and now also the Steinfelder Klosterbier, following the best brewing tradition with the highest demands on quality and taste.
The Gemünder brewery is a progressive, family-owned company. It has modern facilities in all work areas. But we are always aware that technology must have no other goal than to make with the greatest care and craftsmanship the best of what hop gardens, grain fields and the good Eifel water offer.

Minimal hellmalziger Abgang. Sehr entäuschend! 12/6/7/5/7/5

Bottle. Hay and barley malt aroma. Hazy pale yellow color with moderate head. Slightly sweet barley malt, and lightly bitter herbal hops finish. Nice body. Very nice - pretty hoppy for the style.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Poured slightly hazy yellow color with a frothy white head. Malty aroma with some citrus notes. Flavor is bready malty and more citrus. Quite interesting beer, fresh, high carbonation.

Bottled (BZ, BB 11/2010)
Clear dark ruby-brown color, decent beige head. Strong aroma of caramel, grassy hops, toasted sugar and light grain/pulp. Decent body. Raisins, caramel, prunes, toasted sweet malts. Smooth and mellow mouthfeel. Not too alcoholic. Quite enjoyable, although lacks the finale punch in it.

Bottle at Chriso’s Kook Tasting 09. One of the worst looking beers ever. Unbrewed out malt. Just revolting. One of the worst lagers ever.

Bottle, 5.1%. Mild spicy hop aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Small white head. The flavour is mildly spicy, slightly rough bitterness. Like a milder version of Alt, which I happen to prefer to the more bitter ones.
