Description
Proudly Brewed in Yorkshire since 1999
The award-winning Salamander beers was founded in 1999. Dr Daniel Gent (a doctor of brewing and one of Salamander's founders) mission was to bring high quality independently brewed beer to the masses. To this day Salamander continues to surprise and delight its many customers.
And we haven’t lost our touch for beer either.
Brewing ceased in early 2019 and restarted in late Summer 2021.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton, Bristol 29/10/10. Almost black in colour with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of liquorice, dark chocolate and blackcurrants, with a hint of black coffee. Easy drinking with plenty more chocolate and liquorice before a lingering, dry finish. Very good.

(Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 5 Aug 2010) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and cocoa. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, cocoa and dark chocolate. Rather light body, dry, with a generous coffee bitterness. Possibly a bit thin, but nice and well made stout.

14th July 2010. Market Porter. Clear gold beer. No real head. Light dry palate. Tangy dry orange hop but a bit of sulphur in there as well. Finishes very dry. Dissapointing.
