Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh [010913]
Golden clear, dense white head, touch of lacing. Aroma of very light fruits, little on the nose. Taste of soft citrus fruits, bit soapy, fruity apricot, some sourish fruits, sweet pale malts. Medium body, bit sour palate. Finish is dry, fruity, fairly bitter tail.
Overall - Very average golden ale, quite sour. Not in best nick.

Small white creamy head. Clear yellow body. Light floral dusty strawy aroma with notes of watered raisins. Dry-sweet dusty strawy floral taste with grape notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, flat mouthfeel, very delicate. Dryish grainy grape aftertaste with floral notes. Lovely! Very delicate, but full of flavour and character. (0.284l cask at The Briton’s Protection, Manchester.)

Appearance: Clear golden color with a finger thick white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Malty, fruity and mild citric hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet, and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Fresh malty, mild fruity and moderate fine hoppy back.
Overall impression: Pour some more hopps into this one and it will be a lovely ale.
Personal stats: On tap at Rovers Return in Douglas, Isle of Man.

Cask at the Duchess of Cambridge, Stamford Brook, 15/06/13. Clear mahogony brown with a thin light tan head. Nose is light roast, dark fruits, toffee. Taste comprises earthy tones, dark malt, biscuit, toffee, light chocolate. Light to medium bodied but not overly thin or watery, dry in the execution. Average mild which simply whelmed me.

Cask by hand pump at JDW Waterhouse, half shared with Finn. Close to clear golden coloured body. Spotty lacing to the glass. Aroma of herbal hops, notes of resin, too. Taste of peaches and resin-like hops. Smooth bitter finish. Satisfying (Manchester, 27.01.2013).
