Our founders all come from a brewing background especially our award winning Master Brewer who has over 37 years’ experience in the brewing industry. His passion for a ‘Proper Pint’ of real ale has been accredited over the years by him winning numerous Gold and Silver Awards, whilst also creating award winning recipes for other Breweries. We are aware of the ever growing popular explosion of microbreweries but believe there is ‘always more to Explore’. We now have an opportunity of allowing all real ale enthusiasts into our industry, our techniques, knowledge, experience and passion is why we knew it’s time to bring to the South East of Sheffield a ‘PROPER PINT’ of exquisitely crafted full flavoured, full bodied real ale. Pours the classic “bitter brown” with a small white head. A distinctive nose with marzipan and nuts. In the mouth the texture is creamy with flavours of grains and berry fruits plus hints of caramel. The finish is quite malty. This is just a standard bitter, and as such perfectly reasonable.

Pours a clear red brown colour with a large lasting frothy beige head. Aroma is malty and fruity, dark malts, caramel and black currants. Taste is light sweet, dark malt, black currant and liquorice flavours. A drying earthy bitterness in the finish.

Handpull cask at Fuggle's Chapter One, Worksop. Dark brown, slightly translucent with a perfect tight beige head. Aroma is resplendent with Robusta coffee, sweet liquorice, bitter chocolate. Liquorice pushes to the front of the queue in the sweet taste, with just enough of a hoppy balance in the finish to keep it from turning sickly. Berry and stone fruit join coffee and liquorice in the aftertaste. A surprisingly good cask stout.
