Cask @ Bundobust, Manchester. Very dark red with a creamy head. It's solid enough within its style with roasted malts that grow in its aftertaste. It's crisp, but verging on water, although it isn't.

Amarillo, Chinook and Ekuanot hops. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a little dry, decent carbonation. Fluffy malts bring a light creamy sweetness. Traces of dry seltzer - yeast. Modest piney hop. Mild hop spice. Light floral orange with a whisper or orange peel. Airy finish. Nice enough but I like my NEIPAs a little more tropical.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Nearly black. No head. Nose has chocolate cake. Some black cherry. Lots of vine fruit. Touch of coffee from the roast malts. Some plum and date. Taste is tangy and light, roasty bitter. Medium body. A little too fizzy for style. Vinous finish. Ok. Expected more from this brewer.

Keg at the West End Brewery, Leicester. Deep golden and hazy with a tiny ring of white head and some lacing. Aroma is very faint: some floral notes, a touch of resin and a bit of soft citrus. Sweet taste with some bitterness at the finish. Watery body buoyed up by heavy carbonation. Not a lot to this.
