Description
Founded in June 1999, in Milton, a village on the outskirts of Cambridge. In July 2012, Milton Brewery moved premises to the neighbouring village of Waterbeach, securing the future of the brewery, providing much needed expansion and allowing for further growth.

The Milton brewery is a traditional English Ale brewery, albeit lurking in the cunning disguise of a 1980s industrial unit. We take the finest English Maris Otter malted barley, high quality whole hops and local brewing water to produce our award-winning ales.

Cask handpull at Pembury Tavern, Hackney. Amber colour with bubbly beige head. Some hop, bit of staleness, but is soon fades (was actually towards end of barrel, went off soon afterwards). Whisky malt in mouth, similar in flavour to the Sparta, nice tangerine. Good strong bitter, dryish finish. Another well made beer from Milton

Cask handpull at Pembury Tavern, Hackney. Black colour with lasting tan head. Subtle roasty/toasty aroma. Quite chewy in mouth, some sourness, liquorice. Quite a harsh stout. Very interesting though. Nice but not my stout of choice.
