Sample from a bottle at Blacker Hall Farm shop, near Wakefield. Re-badged as Ploughman’s Gold, for the farm shop. Clear, straw colour. Froth of white head. Very grainy, sweet malts on the nose. Some grassy hop. Taste is lemon juice bitter. Feels a little thin and slick. Grassy finish. Not for me.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, a few lonely white bubbles not making a head. Light palate, semi dry, Mild fine carbonation. Very light malt. Hops are mild lemon marmalade and orange peel bitterness. LIght semi dry bitterness. Light semi dry finish. Not bad at all and a bonus of a pumpclip guaranteed to offend the politically correct!
