Description
Pictish Brewing Company is a small independent brewery established in April 2000 by Richard Sutton. Early in 2013 Richard decided to opt for an easier life and skive off leaving things in the hands of his old friend Paul Wesley. We brew a wide variety of high quality cask conditioned ales and deliver direct to the licensed trade in the Lancashire, Manchester and West Yorkshire areas.

Hand-pulled pint at the Wrekin Inn on 25th August 2024. As the name suggests, it's golden in colour, the head a solid white affair. All a bit subtle to be honest, light citrus leaning on a bed of pale malts, slightly disappointing.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 8th June 2024. Clear yellowy gold with shallow off-white foam and spot lacing. Malty aroma with fruitiness. Nutty maltiness in-mouth with cherry fruits, earthy pungencies and a leafy hop transient. A lasting finish of nutty malts. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Two hand-pulled pints at the Wrekin Inn on Saturday 8th June 2024. Clean and clear pale amber body, white crown. Tropical/citrussy nose and taste, oranges and grapefruit in equal measures initially, good body depth and tasty, hence having a second pint!

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 19 Nov 2023) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, tropical fruit and peaches. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grass, hay, herbal/floral hops and a generous bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Tasty and hoppy, but the bitterness gets a bit harsh. Quite nice.
