Description
Pictish Brewing Company is a small independent brewery established in April 2000 by Richard Sutton. Early in 2013 Richard decided to opt for an easier life and skive off leaving things in the hands of his old friend Paul Wesley. We brew a wide variety of high quality cask conditioned ales and deliver direct to the licensed trade in the Lancashire, Manchester and West Yorkshire areas.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber colour, with a bubbly white head. The aroma is malt, light toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, grainy, light toffee, herbal, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Clear golden with a glow and a thick creamy head. Hoppy session ale, looks nice, drinks nice.

16/6/2023. Cask at the 18th Braintree Real Ale Festival. Pours clear dark gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is hoppy, stone fruits, malt, straw, husky notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Quite decent.

Cask @ Baum, Rochdale. Clear golden with creamy head. Hoppy brew as expected, not the most flavoursome of hops, but is flavoursome enough here and clean tasting.
