Exttemely black and oily pour, settles with almost no head. Tons of roasted malts and quite a bitter hop and coffeee bite bitterness in the aroma faintrr syrupy sweetness. Great super heavy imp stout aroma. Flavor is chocolate coffee cake with a lot of hard roasted malty base.Somewhat more pastry than aroma. Still a good crazy insane chocolate cake imp stout. Sipper. Not much food can match this beer, perhaps Jalapenos, perhaps fat lagered very flavorful cheese

Caña en Cimmeria 25..10..2023. Collor negro intenso con poca espuma oscura. Sabores licoroso de maderas empapadas de vinos viejos. Suaves jereces. Ligeros amargos. Cuerpo medio fácil de beber, licoroso. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda aunque la pongo la última en la lista de la saga.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Almost clear darkish amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Thinnish malts but bringing a nice level of creamy malts sweetness run through with caramel and a lesser toffee. A fair bit of spice segues nicely into the Bordeaux barrel, quite muscular here. Nice light vanilla oak and a touch of red berries. Only minor drawback is a slight glue vibe, but overall this is a rich and quaffable barleywine.

Bottle at home, picked up in Malaga, 08/10/23. Clear chestnut brown with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is dates, stewed fruits, booze, vinous, good rye barrel punch, dark malts, sherry like notes. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, dates, rye barrel stained oak, toffee, dates, figs, booze, just a trace of wine barrel presence. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced warming kiss of alcohol. Solid Rye BA BW ... why the fuck is this sat on 3.21 ??? I know the Angel (cheers again pal) factor knocks some off but not that much. Brother Mitchell is nailed on to give this beer more of the score it deserves!
