From a 330ml bottle on 21/2/2015. Pours a clearish medium golden with a huge rocky white head. Has a modest fruity aroma with yeast Take a swig and it’s mainly citrus fruit, with not much in the way of malt. Has a definite vinous character to it, and presents more like a saison than a golden ale to me. Medium bodied with lively carbonation (perhaps a touch too much). I note this is quite well regarded on here, but it didn’t do a lot for me.

Hazy pale orange with a white head that fades to a cm. Aroma of bread, bananas, cloves. Quite tangy. carbonation could be a little higher for me. Sweet and quite bready with a fair bit of banana, tangy wheatiness, spicy finish. Another very solid drop from Nail.

Bottle. Nice off white head tops ugly murky brown. Aroma of grapefruit, lime leaf, toffee and sticky breadcrust, pine, pepper. Lightish bodied. Zesty flavours float well above bread and toffee malt, strong kick of piney and peppery bitterness at the end.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a large white head. Gentle hay, citrus (orange, grapefruit) and tropical fruit aroma. Light bodied, high carbonation (that’s inconsistent in the 6 pack). Clean hay, mandarin, grapefruit. Dry and pretty bitter finish. Refreshing summery beer.
