Snallygaster. Pours yellow. Maple, earthy, herbal spice stuff, carrot, funk, caramelized root vegetables. Medium body. Pretty good.

Snallygaster. Pours orange brown. Funk, floral, herbal, spice, barrel, delicate farmhouse esters, ginger, cinnamon in the finish. Medium body. Well made.

Everything you need in a saison. The rhubarb is tart, but balanced out by honey and probably the angelica root, which I am unfamiliar with. Brilliantly made. Getting into knives. Glistening ones.

I don’t know many brewers’ names, but Averie Swanson is a big name and this is her new game. It’s delightful. Insanely drinkable, clean, simple, bit of hop, bit of sweet grain. The easiest 750ml I’ve ever drunk. Mmm.
