Black pour with a small beige head. intense aroma of bourbon barrel. Lots of booze soaked wood, with subtle vanilla and alot of oddly fruity malts. The roast and sweetness of the stout are long gone. The base beer wasn’t robust enough to stand up to this barrel. This is a barrel bomb.

Bottle from the brewery. Hazy gold/orange color, small off white head. Aroma is slightly citrusy, with some pine resin notes. Pale malts, light cereals, and some yeasty notes. Finish is medium bitter, very pithy bitterness, that lingers a while.
