Big thanks to my sister, ratebeer’s 15_2_Kuhnhenn. This pours clear gold with sticky legginess. The aroma is, uh, bold and tough to put into words. Sometimes I seem to get vanilla mixing with onions and garlic while other times I get vanilla, flowers, black pepper and earthiness. Interesting. The taste is similar with an interesting vanilla like sweet honey note that has floral notes and an onion quality around the edges. To midway it takes on a neat peppery note.

Bottle 750ml. blue glass.Clear light yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy spicy, cinnamon, "danish" bagererens fredags snegle, moderate honey, alcohol notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, spicy, cinnamon, but INO quit balanced. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20120616]

Purplish-red colour. The aroma is fruity and with a little red wine character. The sweet cherry is right up front, and the chipotle seems to pick up steam across the palate. Around the middle is the best part, before the heat kicks in. Sweet dessert mead but I like the flavour combo so it works out ok.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Very pale color. Artificial aroma of vanilla. Sweet flavor, with some vanilla and cinnamon; it’s like eating a muffin; not for that bad, but it has nothing to do with real Mead.

Bottled. A hazy light yellow mead. The aroma has notes of honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol and lemons, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours a hazy very pale yellow with no head. Very sweet and vanillaish aroma. Rich body, sweet honey and quite some vanilla. The cinnamon mostly leaves an artificial spicy edge. Very odd! 160612

Refrigerated 0.5 L bottle 6% poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear with a pink hue and white head that dissapates quickly. No lacing, medium body, slightly syrupy texture, light carbonation, and very light cherry/sweet aroma. Taste is apple cider, honey, and slightly tart cherry. The marriage of apple cider and mead with a hint of cherry, nicely balance of the flavors. Super easy to drink great on a summer day.

500 mL bottle. Pours a clear reddish copper with some carbonation. Aroma is fruity with cherries as expected, something spicier like black licorice or potpourri, making it a bit like raspberry. Flavor is nicely flavored with cherries, raspberry-like again, with a touch of sticky honey blending in. Hints of apple, too. Quite tasty.
