Bottle, from trade with MiP. It pours a semi-clear, brown body under a small, off-white head. Grainy, bready nose with caramel and a little fruityness. I think it lacks a bit there, especially on the banana. Bready and grainy flavor too, with some hops giving bitterness, but also here it’s low on fruityness. Medium to full body. A decent weizenbock, but it didn’t impress at all. (081229)

Clear dark amber with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and caramel notes. Flavour likewise with sourish hints.

16.9oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and gold color. Aroma is fruity, musty, some spice hops. Taste is sour fruity-apple, musty wheat, some spice hops, yeast. Clear-no cloudiness, not as much head as standard, no banana, sour is more dominant.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of renffisch. Pours hazy dark orang with a diminished white head. Aroma is yeasty and mild spiced with a light malty note and clearly presence of alcohol. Lingering yeasty finish.

Bottle. Gushed a bit. Copper orange color with a decent white head. Aroma is slightly spicey over lightly toasted malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is roasted malt and enough noble type hop for spice and balance. Very pleasant and tasty. A bit astringent in the finish. Just a really good beer - and it’s a lager!

This beer pours a hazy golden color with a thin and fizzy off-white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of bananas, cloves and malt. Medium-bodied with a clean and sweet character. Flavors of banana, malt and spices along with a touch of peppery hops in the background. The finish is crisp and fruity with notes of yeast and alcohol. Pretty good overall.

Pours a cloudy copper, with a fizzy body, but minus the creamy head I associate with the better hefes (ie. Weihenstephaner) - somewhat sweet aroma, with lots of clove, a spicy, ginger-like character, tangy citrus fruits, and grain - fairly dry and tart, bordering on sour - quite bready and yeasty, with quite a spicy clove flavor - because of how dry the beer is, the yeastiness creates an odd mouthfeel on top of it - finish of stale hops and light bubblegum and fruitiness - lacking quite a bit of character.
