Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Thursday 13th April listening to Marc Riley on 6Music, we had Stir Fried Smoked Pork with Spring Onions and Water Chestnuts for tea. Pours a murky, cloudy mid/dark brown with off light beige head. There is a little banana on the nose, fresh, light malt. Taste following a similar pattern, fruity, a little toffee, malty touch yeastyness. Quite good, but I have had this twice in recent weeks and it has not met my expectations.

Eingetrübt bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit Karamell, cremig. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottled (from web-bier.de). Orange colour with a mediumsized foamy head, that leaves lace. Aroma is grainy. Flavour is grainy. That's about it, really.

Well done. Typical Gutmann Weizenbock, with a full body, clove and banana creaminess. Subtle notes of citrus and dry Gin notes. Barrel well embedded. Could be even a touch more.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before May 2023. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, dense, stable, white head. Sweetish, quite herbal-spicy, moderately yeasty-spicy aroma of lots of juniper, only some banana and a touch of clove. Rather sweet, malty, quite herbal-spicy and gently yeasty-spicy taste of juniper, banana, clove and some bread, followed by a medium long, hardly bitter, gently yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, full body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very interesting beer, very heavy on the gin, therefore resembles a Wit for some reason. Really like the gin flavours, but somehow I'd prefer it without, don't think it matches that well. Nice experiment though, surely worth trying.

Hefig-kräutriger Geruch. Mild süßer Beginn mit angenehmer und komplexer Kräutrigkeit. Feinherb, spritzig, trockener Hintergrund. Würzig, trocken, mittellanger Abgang. Gut. 10/11/11/11/12/11

33cl bottle. A hazy golden beer with a white head. Aroma of herbal wheat malt, yeast, gin. Taste of strong wheat, ripe banana, some gin. Interesting!
