(bottle) Cloudy, deep golden to light-amber colour with a big and firm off-white foamy head. Mildly yeasty, distinctively banana-fruity aroma with present wheaty notes, as well as hints of cara-malt, accompanied by notes of biscuits, mildly spicy phenols, such as cloves and a whiff of flowery hops. Moderately sweet and delicately sour flavour, medium to light bodied with a matured carbonation. Present wheat-character with a tinge of caramel, biscuits and banana esters, almost creamy mouthfeel; a tad slim, mildly sweet malty and discreetly sourish wheaty finish with a touch of cloves, caramel and vanilla in the aftertaste. All in all a classical and very likeable Weizen. 11.IV.16

11/12/10/11/7/11

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy copper with a creamy white head. Aroma of light caramel and perhaps banana. Med minus body. Flavor is wheat/caramel (light) with some banana after a moment. Flavors aren’t strong, but it’s a decent drink. Not bitter, but not too far from dry.

Bottle: Deep amber with a ruby sheen, hazy, small tanned head; dark malt, molasses, port-vinous traces and yeast in the nose; quite solid sweet-bitter flavour with a residual acidity, medium to full bodied; port-vinous and wheaty and toasty traces in the robust sweet-bitter finish. A goodie…
