Lighter shade of black with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is dried fruit, cocoa powder. bitter tones.
Taste comprises tangy fruits, dark malts, hint of charr.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with some light vinegar strokes.
Not great ... overly tangy ... don't believe it was the condition either.

(Cask at Craft Beer Covent Garden, London, 14 July 2026) Reddish brown colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly roasty nose with notes of bread, toast, raisins and grainy malt. Malty, slightly roasty taste with toasty malt, raisins, bread and a mild earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

(Cask at Craft Beer Covent Garden, London, 14 July 2026) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of orange peel, mandarin and apricots. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, mandarin, orange peel, apricots, light bready malt and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and highly drinkable. Nice one.

Cask at Marine Hotel. It pours clear amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is woody, nutty, sappy, cereal, pine, resin, biscuit, brown bread, touch of citrus and orange marmalade. The taste is firmly dry, pleasing bitterness, toasty grains, cereal, nuttiness, woody, piney, sappy, resin, tannin and bitter citrus peel with a drying finale. Medium body and soft carbonation. Interesting and quaffable. I like it a lot

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 6th June 2026. Copper with lively off-white foam and traveling lace. Burnt malt aroma with nuttiness. Rich nutty malts and citrus peel in-mouth, both of which feature in a rounded finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 6th June 2026. Hazy amber with lasting, yellowy white foam and full lacing. Malty aroma with a hint of Belgian pungent spices. Chunky sweet fruitiness in-mouth with a citrus kick. Just the hint of a lactic note late. A complex finish.
