Can. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. 100 points! Who’d have thought it? Quite dark gold. Lot of bubbles. Thick, shiny topped, white head. Nose has some floral and woody hop. Cracker biscuit malts. Some toffee. Taste is moderately sweet, with some well balanced, spicy hop bitterness. Decent mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation. Long, light bitter finish. Decent lager.

Cask @ The Magnet, Stockport [040417]
Dark caramel brown, dense white head, too light to be a stout, even a porter
Aroma of slight fruity malt, no orange
Taste of light fruity malt, odd herbal note, no roast, not much flavour
Palate - Medium light body, tad thin, slightly sticky, soft bitter. Finish has a light bitter linger, maybe a hint of orange zest, odd linger that lasts for ages
Overall - Not a stout, orange takes a long while to come through
