Das letzte Bier einer Verkostungsbox englischer Biere, die ich letzten Herbst bei LIDL gekauft habe. Mit 3,4% alc ist es recht leicht, aber im Geschmack ist es voll da. Es ist hübsch bernsteinfarben und hat ein feines Spiel aus bitteren Bitter-Aromen und den spritzigen Hopfentönen. Es mag nicht so vollmundig sein wie andere, aber als gemütliches Bier, das seinem Typ treu bleibt und gleichzeitig nicht zu plump oder wässrig ist, passt es sehr gut.

Bottle from local small grocery on 10th April 2020. Pours hazy copper with shallow film and scant lacing. Nutty malt aroma, with hazelnut. Slightly spiced malts in-mouth and a sweet finish of caramel and nuttiness, along with a few leafy hops. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

10/2/2020. Cask at the Eagle Vaults, Worcester. Pours clear pale amber with a bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, hoppy, caramel and flowers with a touch of soap and biscuit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

Creamy beige head left a spotty cover on a chestnut coloured still body. Pale malt, faint citrus & fruity aroma. Medium to thin bodied, nicely carbonated with a clean back Tangy fruity tastes with light citrus, pale malt tea & berries A nice pint.

Cask at the Squirrel, Penn Street, 27/10/19. Clear golden with a decent white head. Nose is biscuit malts, nutty, dried fruits, straw. Taste comprises biscuit crumbs, dusty fruits, grass, light twigs, crackers. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok bitter.
