Description
In 2003 the Pask family, long-time residents of Fernie, had a dream of their own to bring the brew back to the small rocky mountain coal mining town. They did just that, setting up a Brewery in their family barn. It was the start of things to come.

In 2007 we relocated to our existing building, designed and built from scratch. With constant growth, Brewhouse expansion, new products and revamped recipes, we’ve travelled through kegs to cans to 650ml bottles and into growlers, currently distributing throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and into Manitoba. As we continue to grow, we’ll never forget our roots. It’s as simple as Good Beer from a Good Town.

There's nothing particularly wrong with this beer, it's just so bland and lacking any sort of flavour. Nothing comes through with any amount of strength.

Bottle, Legacy. Bright amber, thick rich head. There’s a ton of hops, almost resinous, and a fair bit of alcohol apparent. Sweet crystal malts, not too chewy, with a lot of fruity vic secret and enigma.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Hazy golden color, creamy head. Very light manure aroma, sweat. Smooth, dry, with good body structure, good crispy malts, crackers; the hopping is a bit herbaceous, no special fresh character.
Good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light piney and floral hops and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour reveals floral and piney hops, and a dry biscuity malt backbone. Dry and crisp - nicely balanced. Solid.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear chestnut amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, bready malt and a little toasted caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted nuts and bready malt. Light sweetness in there. Reasonably done.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a murky orangey brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of fresh pumpkin, a fair bit of nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavour brings out a nice mix of cocoa and pumpkin puree, with secondary notes of cinnamon and buried nutmeg. This exceeded my expectations - nice mix of cocoa and pumpkin. Decent.

Bottle, Legacy. Hazy amber. Bubbly head. Earthy nose with crystal malt. There's light hops but they're pretty woody and vague. Earthy on the palate, too, little bit citrusy, and again with a touch of crystal malt. The pine isn't prominent to me, which is too bad because I like pine in a beer sometimes.
