Can from the Gut Riedelsbach store... 6 bloody Euros - Fin pait 4.70€ for his in a pub! But one of, last chance to get it etc etc. Shared with Jonas. Golden body, hazy, white head. Oxidized, woody, grainy aroma, sweetish, yeasty, more citric as it warms. Bit yeasty taste, bit oxidized, some herbal, mildly floral and citric hops underneath, good body, medium, it's actually drinkable. Not in the best of shapes after 4 months, gets better and better as it warms though.

Can, thanks Marko. Hazy golden, white lace.
Flowery tealike grainy front, medium body, hay, grain, light chalk, ripe tropical, dry citrus, sticks along, somehow oxidized, a bit, dusty finish. A bit old perhaps

Can at Gasthof zum Sonnewald Schofweg after a short walk from home, it's a cold day. Having this sat at the bar Sunday 28th December 2025. Pours hazy dark gold/light amber with a white head. A nice refreshing slightly zippy, light refreshing and with a slight hoppiness, this is difficult to categorise apologies if this has been put in the wrong style, however the Untappd suggest of Strong Ale doesn't seem to fit. Light fruity nice mouthfeel, really nice.

0.5l bottle. Clear amber/copper colour with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, banana, a little fruity. Taste is sweet, malty, prominent banana esters, bready, a little caramel, a little fruity, mild herbal hints. Light-medium bodied.
My first Dampfbier so nothing to compare to, but I enjoyed this. Sort of made me think of a lighter bodied Dunkelweizen, especially with those banana esters.

Bottle, Waldmanufakturen, B. Eisenstadt. Lightly hazy golden ruby-brown body, huge, lasting thick off-white head. Bit metallic, raisins, lightly tart, soapy... Smooth, tart, mildly dry taste, caramelly, some dried fruit candy, Seems like it might soon go off, but that the damage wasn't done yet. Not bad!

We had this at Restaurant Grenzglashütte Bayerisch Eisenstein, Sunday 21st July 2025 in the company of Marko. Pours light gold, not so hazy, white head rapidly departs, it's understandably a little bit thin, not completely my thing but on the plus side there's a little clove, and subtle wheaty, yeast and hoppiness on the nose.

Bottle at Waldmanufakturen, Bayerisch Eisenstadt. Hazy dull dark amber-golden body, off-white head. Perfumey, floral, bit soapy, lightly herbal, yeasty aroma. Lean-medium body, dry taste, bit citric, tart. Tart taste, light, citric, vanilla touches, bit caramelly. Good for the style, clean.

Almost certainly bottled, almost certainly this one (the young lady confirmed it was Zwiesel's weisse) at Zum Fürst'n, huge thanks Loz! Murky yellow body, off-white head. Pungent aroma, caramelly, floral, some phenols but not of the clove kind, bit worryingly, bit bready. Lean-medium, dry, tart, citric taste, floral, yeasty, bit citric, cloves more obvious thankfully, ending a bit minerally. Solid, not a world beater.

On tap at the taphouse opposite the brewery on the day the Granzfest starts, Saturday 12th July 2025 after an 11-12 km hike along the river from Regenhütte. Pours clear gold, excellent clarity, good sized white head, nice festbier, super nice, more 'ish' easy drinking, nice sweetness, light fruity. Really good
