Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is sweet grainy malt with some minerals. Flavor is again grain and a bit of wet paper bag. Thin mouthfeel and no bitterness is felt. Easy drinker but not much going on. $1.99 for a can of this is not bad.

I've rated this before but it looks like it did not make the trip from Ratebeer. Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is wet dough malt. Flavor is more minor wet dough malt with a little sweetness on the back end. For $1.99 a can Helles from Germany I can't really complain. At 4.1% it's a bit light even for the style.

500ml can from Total Wine - Naples, Florida. Pours a semi-clear gold color with a white head and good retention. Very little lacing. Pilsner malt aroma, as expected. Medium pilsner malt flavor, with subdued sharpness. No sulfur notes. A decent, middle of the road pilsner. Medium body. Lower than expected carbonation. Light bitterness.

"Eibauer Schwarzbier", Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Gallinchen (Cottbus), verkostet 10.6.2025 im Direktvergleich mit dem "Schwarzen Esel" aus Eisenach. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienrotbraun.
