Tap at the California Brewers Showcase Festival. Pours hazy gold with white bubbles. Aroma of very mild fruit sour. Med minus body. Flavor is sort of caramel under a sour note. Not really getting a lot of fruit or Brett. But it clearly is "wild".

Sample at the Tehachapi Beer & Wine Festival on 07/18/2015: Deep brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts, malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roast nuts, earthy malt and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Rotem. Clear orange with a beige head. Aroma of juniper, a bit of sage, and stale hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of marmalade, juniper, soapy, stale hops, and strong bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Pour is a clear copper with a huge white head. Aroma is a decent hop followed by some cracker malt and a bit of sweet caramel. Flavor is a minimal hop with a more chewy earthy malt. This was not what I was expecting from an IPA from the west coast. Way malt heavy and the hops have disappeared. There is no date on the bottle so this could be months old. Put a frigging best by or bottled on date on IPA’s!

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of fruit esters, yeast. Maybe clove. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor seems clove, yeast, fruit. Though it’s hard to say banana. Overall the flavor profile pretty much jibes with my memory of tripels. Maybe a bit light for a tripel, ABV wise, but the flavor is right on.

Amber color with white head. Aroma of loads of resinous hops, sage, spices. Taste is resinous, spicy, the sage is there, warming bitter finish. Smooth carbonation, heavy mouthfeel. Very good!

Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is honeycomb, floral, and a light casaba note. Clear yellow orange with a big heavy lacing off white head. Flavor is lightly sweet and fruity with a slight hint of funk that is barely discernable. Not all that wild or saison like, tastes like a light weaker Belgian dubble style to me.

12 oz. bottle, pours a fairly clear dark reddish amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is very spicy, with loads of sage upfront, followed by some juniper and woody resinous hops -- it's mostly spices on the nose though. Flavour is certainly unique for the style, bringing out the sage upfront, followed by woody resinous hops which bury the spices later on the finish. On paper, this sounds like a bad idea, and upon smelling it, it also seemed like it'd be pretty bad -- but this is actually quite nice. Balanced, hoppy and drinkable. Very good.

22oz bomber pours up with a clear copper body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up some pine hops, a sliver of orange gummy bear, a bit of grapefruit and then just noticeable herbal to earthy notes. The taste starts with snippets of citrus and tropical fruity juiciness and then more and more grapefruit like bitterness laced with a thin ribbon of resiny hoppiness murmur to the surface. It gets to modest levels of juiciness midway and into the finish. Pretty nice but it is coming across a bit long of tooth (but as usual full price at the bottle shop).

Bottle, from Bottlecraft SD, shared on the hotel patio 13/11/14. Black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is earthy roast, pine, bitter hops, tropical fruit vibes, light charr, mineral notes. Taste comprises bitter hops, grapefruit, pine, red berry notes, mineral rinse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok CDA.
