Draft at Beer NV. Clear dark maroon color, tight tan head. Nice toasted brownie aroma. Taste has cocoa owder, coffee grounds. Very light bidy. What is a brown porter?

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 7.5%. Deep golden colour, white head. Sweetish malty aroma, some oaky and vinous notes, also bourbon and vanilla notes. Sweet flavour with overwhelming bourbon notes, oak and vanilla galore, warming mouthfeel (would think it was stronger than 7.5%). Nice beer though, but one bottle would be enough in one sitting.

Varmer i magen.

Bottle (from beer gonzo). Pours amber with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is malty, some sweetness, nutty notes and alcohol. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel, nutty notes, and some booze. Overall: very good, feels like proper bock ice distilled.

500 ml bottle @ home, from Mega Liquor 8, Alhambra, CA, but apparently now also available in the Netherlands...Black color. Brown head with reasonable retention. Aroma’s: bourbon, vanilla, wood, sweet, light roast. Retronasal roast is more upfront, with wood, light sweetness, vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is only light sweet, roasted, alcoholic. Rather strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Long finish, roasted, light bitter. Pretty nice.
