22oz bottle picked up at Bevmo. Pours clear dark brown with a small beige head, light lacing. Dark malts, coconut, vanilla and chocolate. Decent

Bottle pour into stemless wine glass from Valley Beverage. Appearance is very dark brown with ruby highlights (almost opaque black) with nice sparkle, finger-width fizzy beige head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is restrained roasted coffee and malts, mild dark chocolate. Taste is as aroma with late light earthy bitter balance. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty straightforward coffee porter but decent. Not too sweet and base porter is allowed to shine through though coffee could be a little stronger.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark orangey, golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally wallpaper paste-like pale malty aroma is widely disguised by woody, leather, oak and Bourbon notes. Taste is sweet-ish malty, intense notes of Bourbon BA, caramel, vanilla, some oak and a touch of leather. Very harmonious, homogeneous and balanced. Very good.

Bottle courtesy of the California stand at The World Travel Market 2018, Excel, London. A murky dark brown/amber coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Malty, coffee, spice aroma. Tastes malty, coffee, spice, some cinnamon. Quite well made and interesting enough.

Hazy reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, light cream and caramel. Smooth fruity bourbon. Trace of wood. Very mild spice. Smooth finish delivers more smooth bourbon. Nothing out the ordinary here but it is a very smooth and drinkable bourbon delivery system.
