Thick, salty and rich. Pitch black, loads of bourbon, but only complementing, not overpowering. Incredible balance, magnificent beer.

Bomber, shared. Pours a clear, dark, reddish color, with a small, foamy, tan head. The nose is cherry, white oak, caramel, toast, mild peat, and booze. Sweet and syrupy, with a mild bitterness. Heavy body, with a syrupy, sticky, and hard mouthfeel. This is a big and boozy bock, with lots of earthy and woody character. Harsh at first, but it gets better with each sip.

Bottle @ home. Red-brown color, red hue coming through. Medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, brown malts, caramel sweetness. Taste malts, brown malts, caramel. Oddly enough I get distant notes of bourbon, a slight tart note, slightly bitter and a very light diattn hint of chocolate. A bit thin. Hmm not a fan.
