0.5l bottle from leclerc in strasbourg. probably the same as their regular brune, or extremely similar at the very least. pours a hazy dark chestnut with a medium tan head and some lacing. aroma of roasted malts, leather, sour milk, dried apricots, milk chocolate. flavour of nuts, smoke, leather, tobacco, rye bread. I’d say it is a schwarzbier, but what do I know. not bad as a schwarzbier.

Bottle at MC Zurich. Pours cloudy brown. Aroma is metallic, Christmas spices, cinnamon. Body is rather light, still spicy, with a pleasant sweetness and hotness. Crisp carbonation, killing flavours. Dry carbonated palate. Not bad, but a bit boring.

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Yeasty, distinctively cinnamon- and clove-spicy aroma with mildly dark malty notes and shades of citrus zests. Moderately sweet and delicately tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly dark malt character with loads of spicy and lighter zesty notes, also traces of caramel; moderately sweet and slim, but also spice-laden finish. 100% not my cup of tea. 22.VI.17

bottle from Illkirch-Graffenstaden - merci! Cloudy golden with a tall white head. Yeasty nose. Yeasty fruity flavours on a malty background, shy hops. Nowhere near an IPA.
