On tap @ Brass Monkey, NY. Clear amber color with thin creamy off-white head, excellent lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of toasted, caramel and biscuit malt, herbal and mild floral hops. Taste starts with sweet caramel malt, following is refreshing fruity and grainy sour, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Surprisingly good for bottom fermentation brew, but that’s American quality...

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of grain with touches molasses and caramel. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of caramel and citrus. Not bad, but more reminiscent of an APA than an Aber Lager.

A dark brown ale with a thick collapsing dark brown head. In aroma, nice smooth smoked malt with grassy notes, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice roasted chocolate malt with light peated notes, grassy hops, light licorice, alcohol warmth, a bit thin but overall, very nice. Shared with GRM. Bottle from Coney Island, summer 2012.

I thot fer sure I had this before, been passing up on the shelves. Big alabaster head. Clear yellow pour from the atp at the bocktown. Smell is simply beer. IPA taste impact. HAH, thinks its a lager but its reall an ipa in disquise. Finish, eh, must be ipa. Finish, yes, typical ipa. Very funny, a lager that wants to be an ipa.

You know, I was sure I tasted this before but its not in my data base. On tap at the bocktown, nice place. Slight haze on a a plae beer with a good head that does not fade. Clean beery aroma. Some tartness immediately detected in the first taste. Layed with pointed somewhat astringent hops. The tartness adds a degree of like a bility to the otherwise too hoppy beer. Mildly bitter but it builds towards the end. Better than expected. Nice lacing. Except for that bitter linger, not a bad beer. Good co2 all round.

A bottle I picked up from Antenna America. It poured a cloudy gold with a thick white head. The aroma was fruity with possibly a hint of grapes? The taste is spicy, with ginger and hints of other spices. It is really easy to drink and a nice beer for people who don’t like lagers like myself. Pretty good, I think I’ll get it again so my wife can try it...

Draft @ Rye & Thyme - Leominster, MA. The rye shows up in the middle of the palate with an aftertaste of a macro lager and some lemons. The finish is clean-tasting and lightly bitter. Dry texture. The overall feel of this reminds me of macro lager and real is just meh. I guess if you just entered the world of craft beer you may enjoy this. I don’t make a point to drink a lot of pilseners.
