Description
We are four friends; three kiwi’s & one Englishman, (two home brewing pairs) who in 2015 launched the ‘Roaring Four Brewing Co’ as a gypsy brewing company out of the ‘London Beer Lab’ in Brixton. In addition to brewing there, we also brewed down in Cornwall and have most recently moved production up to ‘71 Brewing’ in Dundee. We are in no way re-inventing the beer wheel, but hopefully helping in general, to strengthen the domestic beer market. In a nutshell, our M.O is to brew tasty & interesting beer that we enjoy first and foremost, and hopefully others will too. Sit back, do little, and enjoy. (Is our drinking motto)

Bottle split at the Tilt Tasting, Bingohame Convention VI, thanks to LKS 02/07/22. Black with a decent tan cap that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is dark malts, spice, dried fruit rinds, dates, cocoa powder. Taste comprises dark malts, chocolate, mellow roast, light smoke, toffee, spice, fruit cake. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. I thought this one had stood up well.

On tap at Made Inn Ashford . Deep hazy red mulberry colour. Lasting beige head. Some decent red ale qualities. I do get a bit of newspaper on the finish. Some red fruit on aroma. Hides abv well. Light bitterness. Some sweetness. Some strawberry jam . Still a touch of paper. Dry finish. It's almost very good. Lose the dry paper flavour and I'd like it
