Description
We are four friends; three kiwi’s & one Englishman, (two home brewing pairs) who in 2015 launched the ‘Roaring Four Brewing Co’ as a gypsy brewing company out of the ‘London Beer Lab’ in Brixton. In addition to brewing there, we also brewed down in Cornwall and have most recently moved production up to ‘71 Brewing’ in Dundee. We are in no way re-inventing the beer wheel, but hopefully helping in general, to strengthen the domestic beer market. In a nutshell, our M.O is to brew tasty & interesting beer that we enjoy first and foremost, and hopefully others will too. Sit back, do little, and enjoy. (Is our drinking motto)

Keg at The Merchant. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, chocolate cake, some creaminess, coffee, roasted malt, fudge and mocha. The taste is bitter - sweet, cocoa, coffee, milk chocolate, chocolate cake, coffee, dark fruits, touch of jam, toasted nut with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty flavoursome and comes together well. Rather nice milk stout.

27/3/2018. Bottle from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours black with a long lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, dark fruits and berries. Moderate sweetness, light roasted bitterness, with a light sour edge. Medium body, slick texture, average to soft carbonation. Fruity, chocolate, slightly dry finish. Quite enjoyable, not clear whether the berry sour edge was by design but not unpleasant either way (bb 10/2018).
