Keg at the Brewpub in Day 1 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 29/09/14. Served in a tall flute. Yellow / golden hazed colouered pour with a thin lasting white head. Aroma is big banana, bread wheat, sweet ripe banana. Flavour is composed of thin wheat grains, banana, chalky bready notes, not much to it. Maybe a little too hot on the ferment. Banana esters are too much for me. Palate is light and doughy, thin, chalky on the tongue. Bit dull an uninspiring. The worst of the six.

Keg at the Brewpub in Day 1 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 29/09/14. Fuck Yeah! Surprise Black IPA. Dark caramel coloured pour with ruby red highlights, lasting big light tan head. Aroma is melba fruit, peach, light tropical fruit and hint of roast and some orange peel. Flavour is composed of nice fruity peach & tropical fruit hop character, smooth base malts with hint of toasty malts. Palate is crisp, medium body, highish carbonation. Nice lingering pine and citrus hop. Pretty tasty.

Keg at the Brewpub in Day 1 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 29/09/14. Thought this was a schwartzbeir. Dimpled mug. Dark black coloured pour with a lasting thin loose head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate, malty sweet, dme, campfire, earthy notes. Some twigs on the nose as well. Flavour is compposed of sweet, earthy choc, nuts, brown bread, some tangy dried fruits. Palate is quite sweet, lowish carbonation, fullish body. Lingering charrd toasted bread and earthy roast.

Hazed orange / golden coloured pour with a lasting off white rocky head.Aroma is spicy citrus, hop matter, little bubblegum yeasty thing going on. Flavour is tangy lemon citrus, earthy, sweet bready and biscuity malts. Slightly under fermented. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Lingering tangy orange & rough bitterness.

Aroma is earthy grainy, wheat and rye cereals, wort, light spicy hop. Flavour is composed of toasty bread, light char, earthy grains, hint of roast. Solid bitter finish. Malt led and earthy. Slightly harsh in the finish.

Keg at the Brewpub in Day 1 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 29/09/14. As specialni Tmave 14 5.3% Served in small dimpled glass. Clear dark black / caramel brown coloured pour with a big frothy light tan head that fades. Aroma is earthy roast coffee, rye bread grains, toasted brown bread and a hint of ginger. Flavour si composed of rounded malty sweetness, toast, little burnt toast, rounded roast. Very well rounded, nice and earthy. Palate is crisp carbonation, fairly fullish body, medium sweet. Decent malty beer.

on tap at the brew pub. dark amber / brown very cloudy color. off white long lasting head. smells very fruity, definitly strawberries, mango, some fruit pudding and strawberry ice cream. very nice smell. full body, fruit sweetness, light grapefruit, some alcohol, some strawberries, good carbonation, medium bitterness + sweetness, overall not so bitter, but i quite liked it.
