Beergeek, Prague on 2nd Oct 2014. Two versions of this beer were on offer in KeyKegs. A lager and an ale option. I had both. The ale being very slightly sweeter but otherwise identical in my opinion. Dark mahogany brown in colour beer with good beige heads. Coffee aromas meet the nose with some yeast esters and dark red fruitiness. The Taste was again coffee first and foremost with a caramel sweetness tempered by those dark fruits from the aroma. Good start to the day and the long session I had in Beergeek (not the new bar, that only opened the following day).

Tap at the brewpub. Pours amber with a white head. Fruit/floral aroma. Flavor is fruit/citrus. Pretty bitter. Finishes hoppy and bitter, tho not at the NW level.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark gold with a large white head. Aroma is clove and banana. Med body. Flavor = aroma. Not bitter. Very good hefe.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is more chocolate and malt than anything. Med body. Flavor is dark malt/darkish chocolate - fairly towards dry - not very bitter.

Keg at GBBF ’14, day 4, 15/08/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is earthy hops, juicy citrics, light pine, orange pith, toasted malt. Taste comprises caramel malt, orange pith, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close coated with light hop bitterness. Ok.

Keg at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14 thanks to Ed King for the pour. Lightly hazed golden with a good sized off white head that retains well. Nose is bready, fresh smelling, spice, freshly cut grass, clean, light cloves, yeast and banana. Taste comprises vanilla custard, fresh bread dough, grassy, yeast, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid fresh tasting clean hefe - guzzle juice!
