Draught Very small but stable layer over clear metallic cognac-coloured beer, some shards of lace. Sour nose, with more than a pinch of acetic acid. Old wood, lactic acid, and hints at brown candi sugar. The same, but marked cherries, sweeter than expected, even verging on the artificial. Lactic and acetic acid, brown candi sugar. Some sour orange too. The cherryflavour diminishes in time. Not very carbonated in the end; acidthinning and some -burn. Lipsmacking acidity. Sour-sweet sauce, diluted. The basic 'lambic' from De Brabandere remains fairly agressive, apparent here.

Clear copper pour, medium beige head. Sweet dark fruit, sweet, fruity malts. Malts are quite bready, but a touch boozy. Soft boozy cherry notes, some earthiness, with nice straw, and dried grass. Soft mouth feel, medium carb. Finish is sweet, but also low to medium bitter. Touches of minerals, and some metals, malty cereals, sweet boozy malts. A good sipper, but would benefit from some age.

Bottle at the Beer Bistro.
Clear, golden pour, with a small white head. QUite a woody, funky aroma. Quite a bit more sour than i expected. Some really nice tart, fruity, funky aromas and flavors. Also it was surprisingly refreshing, and very easy drinking. Very impressed.

a good summer thirst quencher. i know the blegian ale category is a mile wide, but this to me would be like a belgian macro. kinda wattery, and thin. sligth aroma of yeast, and bread. a tad bit of citrus, but seems like a beer you serve cold in the summer to the party crowd

this was my intro to the flemish sour style. I didnt do much research on the beer before trying it, and man i weas thrown back by the sourness. Its tame compared to other sour beers, but its nice, and subtle. You can still get alot fo the malt, and a tad of the hops, and the balance is really nice.
