Manoir de Grandouet - Famille Grandval
Cidery
in Cambremer,
Normandie,
France 🇫🇷
Associated Venue: Manoir de Grandouet - Famille Grandval
Established in 1963

Bottle from Pomme Party. Clear deep golden to light amber. Sweet and funk apple, caramel, there’s a hint of oxidation from the ageing, woody, fresh leather. This has it all, it’s fruity, tannic, complex and has a lovely amount of age. Solid medium sweet, and solid medium dry too, almost full rounded body. Amazing cider!

Glass by bottle @ Holm Cider in Copenhagen. Slightly unclear golden under a fine, small, dense, lacing white head. Aroma has ripe apple, wood, cellar notes and some funk. Taste has rich apple flavor, ripe apple, apple core, cellar notes, bitter apple, some mild acidity and light funky. Fine balanced body and smooth apple aftertaste. A very nice, not particular dry, more like bitter and sweet with hint of acidity and funk. Pleasant cider.

Sampled at the source, 3rd taster, tasted from a bottle pour by the host. Golden juice, bubbles. Sweet and dry apples, more traditional farm funk than the reserve. Moderate sweet and bitter. Lively fizz. Pretty nice. // Shared from bottle at Maakun’s. Sweet apples, red and yellow, cheesy and oniony, very fruity, mild earthy and nutty and greasy. Medium body and soft carbonation.
