7/III/25 - 33cl can from Beerinabox (webshop, NL), shared @ Gentse Biervereniging adventskalender-tasting, BB: XI/2026, P286 (2025-236)

Clear orange beer, small creamy light beige head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, yeasty, banana, grains, pretty floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, very yeasty, banana, a little bitter, alcohol, hoppy touch. Aftertaste: more yeasty, sugary, alcohol, sweet, banana, floral touch, pretty soapy bitterness. Tastes more like a hoppy Quad than a barley wine.

330ml. Copper colour, small beige head. Toffee, rye bread and brown sugar in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Toffee, hops, licorice vibe, malts. American style bitterness in this one. Simple but ok. Warming finish.

Can. Clear golden. Indeed smoke up front but not overpowering. Crisp malts, grassy hops, apple, peach, dough. It's surprisingly fruity! Medium sweet and less bitter. Medium bodied. Not very smoked at all, otherwise a decent beer but not as good as a classic German helles.

From bottle at 8e Pint Utrechtse Bierbrouwers Festival. Malty and floral aroma with soft hops, ripe fruits, malt, and sweetish marmalade. Mild bitter flavour with a fairly sticky sweetness. Body is medium. Decent beer but too malty and sweet for an IPA, lacks fruity hops.

From tap at Bierfestival Wolvega. Citrussy aroma with lots of bergamot. Spicy orange peel, soft fruity hops. Lightly sweet with a modest bitterness and a medium body. Pretty elegant, for fans of bergamot.

From tap at Bierfestival Wolvega. Soft 'n smooth with and aroma of fairly juicy fruits, citrus, oats, mild tropical. Citrussy, mild bitterness, light sweet. Body is medium. On the gentle side, but very drinkable.

Tried again 2025. Soft fruity hop with orange, soft tropical notes. Mild moderate bittersweetish, soft and easy.

Can from Beer in a Box. Sweet with sugary malts, marzipan, caramel, toffee with a hint of dried fruit. Leaves a bit sticky mouthfeel. Okay but something's missing.

330ml. Deep golden colour, small white head. A bit piney, resiny aroma, not much of mandarin or fruityness. Light to medium-bodied. Pine, resin, some fruityness, touch of citrus. West-coastie. Flatish vibe. With 7% not really DIPA.
