Bottle, 75cl. An almost clear dark red beer with an orange hue. Intense sourish apple aroma with lots of funk, leather and barnyard, some wood and apple cores. It's acidic on the palate, with vinegar flavor, a medium body and a touch of alcohol. Vinegar, apple, apple cores, wood and a faint grassy touch. Earthty, barnyardish funk too. A bit much on the vinegar side this one. 210328

Bottle. Unclear golden body with floaters and practically no head. Strong apple aroma, quite acidic with cellar notes. Taste has relatively mild apple flavor, quite acidic, dry, some wood and slightly funky. It’s actually a bit vinous in taste with a subdued apple taste, hint of white sour berries and grapes. It’s a lot of thing going on here. Medium body and refreshing, acidic aftertaste. Ending a bit like a bone dry cidra from Basque Country. Interesting stuff.

330 ml bottle, vintage 2019, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Made of the residue after the must (apples and plums) for Solhøi's better ciders has been pressed. Water and sugar have been added. Spontaneously fermented. ABV is 5%. Very pale straw colour, only the slightest haziness, no head, hardly any carbonation. Aroma of apples and yeast, a hint of plums. Dry flavour, notes of sour apples, hints of yeast and mould. Won't buy again.

Bottle, 75cl. #4 2018. A lightly hazy straw colored cider with lots of floaties. Still. Funky aroma, leather, barnyard, cellar, apple and a spiced note. It’s dry on the palate, with some carbonation. Apple, funk, barnyard, hay, grass and some spiced notes in the flavor. Vinous cellar notes, and a lasting finish. A very pleasant one indeed, complex and tasteful. 210205

750 ml clear bottle, vintage 2018. Made of 60% Gravenstein and 40% mixed pears, so this is technically more of an apple cider than a perry. From Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.5%. Pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a large but fairly shortlived head. Aroma of apples and pears. Fairly dry and crisp flavour, notes of apples and pears. A slight fruity acidity.
